The Maxus eDeliver 3 35kW has an impressive driving range of 151 miles with the larger battery option. This range is WLTP-certified, which is a standardised test conducted on electric vehicles in Europe.

Whilst this is an official range we need to point out that this is used a reference point for comparing different vehicles rather than an exact range for everyday driving. The actual range of the eDeliver 3 may vary based on factors such as driving efficiency, the speeds the vehicle is being driven, the temperature, weather conditions, and more.

Battery Power

The Maxus eDeliver 3 35kW is equipped with a 35kWh (kilowatt-hour) battery, providing the necessary power for its operations.

The 52.5kWh battery option offer slightly more mileage at 151 miles.

Electric vehicles have varying battery sizes, typically ranging from around 30kWh to over 100kWh. In general, larger battery sizes tend to offer a greater driving range. However, other factors like vehicle weight and efficiency also impact the actual range achievable.

 

How much tax will I pay?

The Maxus eDeliver 3 35kW is subject to a company car tax rate, commonly known as the benefit-in-kind rate, of 2%. The exact amount of benefit-in-kind tax applicable to an electric vehicle is influenced by various factors including its emissions, range, and value.

Overview

The Maxus E Deliver 3 was introduced in 2020 and the smaller sibling of the large Maxus E Deliver 9 van. Competitively priced and with a range of over 151 miles, the E Deliver 3 has rapidly become one of the best-selling electric vans in the UK and has secured major orders from large fleets like DPD.

E Deliver 3s have a choice of either a 35kWh or 52.5kWh battery and can be charged using a Type 2 or CCS connection.

How Big is the Maxus e Deliver 3?

The Maxus e Deliver 3 falls into a somewhat unique size category, straddling the line between what we typically classify as a medium van and some smaller vans.

For UK buyers, it is offered in two variations: a short-wheelbase (SWB) panel van and a long-wheelbase (LWB) chassis cab. Although a LWB panel van is available elsewhere, it is currently not offered in the UK market.

The values above are based on the 35kWh E Deliver 3. All figures on based on Vital EV estimates and actual charging time can be affected by a wide range of factors, including ambient temperature, state of charge of the battery and the maximum limited charge rate of the vehicle.

E Deliver 3 Charge Connector

The E Deliver 3 is provided with both a Type 2 and CCS charge connector. The connections are located at the front of the vehicle underneath the badge. The Kempower T-Series and Kempower C-Series are available with either a CCS or CHAdeMO connection, or both at the same time with the dual-charging option.

Are there different driving modes available?

In addition to the standard driving mode, the Maxus eDeliver 3 offers an Eco setting. This mode limits the top speed to 58mph in order to minimise electricity consumption. By activating this mode, you can gain approximately an extra five miles of driving range, and potentially more if you consistently use it.

Another way to extend the range is by turning off the air-conditioning, which instantly provides an additional 10 miles of range.

Furthermore, the eDeliver 3 features three Regeneration modes, which can be selected using the Reg switch located next to the steering wheel. These modes control the level of active deceleration applied by the motor when you release the accelerator. The more the motor slows down the van, the more energy it regenerates back into the battery pack, resulting in an increased driving range per charge.
