Vital EV supports Arrival with Charging Insights as Electric Van Production Begins
Vital EV has supported the R&D effort at Arrival’s main production facility in Banbury with the deployment of a Kempower T-Series mobile DC charger. Arrival needed a mobile solution for the factory to support multiple testing bays, but once training on the Kempower system had been completed, Arrival made good use of the charge management system, ChargEye.
All of Vital EV’s chargers are available with ChargEye, an API-enabled charge monitoring and management software that allows users to remotely control each charger and access powerful charging insights. In Arrival’s case, ChargEye was utilised to analyse communication protocols between their all-new electric van and the charger.
ChargEye includes several algorithms that use A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) machine learning, which it cross references with recorded data to identify potential issues before they arise and maximise charger up-time.
The wide range of functionality includes charge prioritisation, downloadable usage reports, charge scheduling and peak power intake optimisation. Each charger is fitted with heat sensors and 4G SIM cards which allows our National Operations Centre in Chester to identify potential issues before they have arisen.
As Arrival scale their operation, Vital EV is pleased to have secured further orders for new UK sites and demonstration tours with the new EV’s now in production.
